Semiconductor Process Engineer

Position / Job Description

Ostendo Technologies, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Semiconductor Process Engineer. This individual will be responsible for developing an innovative optoelectronic device using semiconductor and wafer bonding processes. Responsibilities include most aspects of optoelectronics semiconductor device fabrication, such as CMP, photolithography, wet and dry etch etching, passivation, electroplating and metal evaporation. This position includes sustained development and process characterization responsibilities in the wafer processing environment. This position requires familiarity with commercially available optoelectronic processing equipments. The Semiconductor Process Engineer will work with Ostendo's optoelectronic design team and perform the work in the clean room environment with the semiconductor process team. The successful candidate will be an essential team member and bring novel semiconductor photonic technology designs from early R&D stages through to production and application.

Education

Minimum of Masters in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Physics.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum five years experience of semiconductor wafer processing
  • Understand dry and wet etch chemistry and basic maintenance of dry and wet etch tools
  • Recent experience with thin film deposition and CMP is a plus
  • Familiar with DOE design and data interpretation
  • Able to develop new processes individually
  • MS Word, MS Excel, DOE design, modeling and fab skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
